TOUR: OPAL are encouraging locals to attend a free seminar to be held by former Australian swimmer Lisa Curry next week.Former Australian swimmer Lisa Curry is bringing her One Life, One Chance Aussie Road Trip tour to Port Augusta next week.
A free community seminar open to the public will be held at the Institute Theatre on Tuesday, May 27 from 6pm.
OPAL coordinator Carmel Daw said Lisa is keen to share her message in as many regional communities as she can.
Lisa will be sharing her firsthand experience and skills to help others and will talk about her background and what has motivated her to want to share these positive lifestyle messages.
The seminar is designed to encourage people of all ages to help combat the growing problem of obesity and heart disease in Australia, Lisa will explain in a fun and interactive way, how to lose weight and get fit and healthy, anytime, anywhere and on any budget.
Ms Dawsaid locals will leave the session with the understanding of why a healthy lifestyle is important and that it can be easy.
“Most importantly people will leave feeling motivated and encouraged that they can do it,” Ms Daw said.

During her time in Port Augusta, Lisa will be making visits to some local schools encouraging local children to live a healthy lifestyle.
